What you missed at Gosigerfest 2023

With another successful Gosigerfest in the books, we’re grateful to Gosiger for hosting and allowing us to demo our machines. Gosigerfest is a trade show hosted at Gosiger headquarters in Dayton, Ohio every other year, showcasing over 80 exhibitors, several CNC machine providers, and, of course, German food. If you didn’t make it this year, here’s what you missed and what we hope you can see in 2025.

NDT_BLOG_GF23_AUTOLive demos on compact machining centers

This year, we displayed three Nomura DT machines: a DST-36D (Work Changer) and two DST-40A compact machining centers. Our live demos let visitors witness the speed, capability and precision of our machine tools, including the DST-40A machining ⌀5” 4140 hot roll steel demo, focusing on heavy-duty milling. With all our product experts on the floor, we were able to answer any questions and discuss the many applications of our highly rigid machines.

Machine tending automation demonstration

To emphasize the benefit of standardized automation, we partnered with Automation Within Reach by automating our DST-40A with their Load & Go RC-1. When connected to the machining center’s side door, the RC-1 allows complete access to all fixtures parts and the entire machining table, and it also allows front door and controller access, making it a powerful and flexible tool to keep the machine running even after hours.

NOMURADT_GF23_TONY_GUNNTony Gunn made an appearance

Tony Gunn from MTDCNC joined our product manager, Andrew Carr, to discuss our DST line and what sets our machines apart from others in the sector, including product line overview, machine construction, spindle technology and machine capability. Tony’s sparkling personality certainly added to the festive atmosphere, and we were glad to be a part of his segment.

For those of you who were able to make it and meet up with us, we were glad to see you! We’ll be back at Gosigerfest 2025, so be sure to drop by, have a bratwurst, check out the beer bot and have a look at the newest advances from Nomura DT!
